Dr. M. SARASWATHY

Assistant Professor

Dr. M. Saraswathy is an academic researcher specializing in Environmental and Occupational Health. She holds a Ph.D. in Microbiology and Environmental Health from the Faculty of Public Health, Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research (SRIHER). Her academic credentials include an M.Phil in Microbiology, M.Sc. in Environmental Biology and B.Sc. in Microbiology. She is also UGC-NET qualified.

     Currently, she serves as an Assistant Professor in Industrial Hygiene and Safety at Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research. She served as Research Manager for ICMR-CAR TAPHE and HAPIN projects and taught PG and UG students in the Department of Public Health at SRIHER. In addition, she has been a NEET consultant for Government Model Schools, UG and PG lecturer in Microbiology and related fields in arts and science colleges, and technical editor for scientific publications.

     Dr. Saraswathy has made significant contributions to the fields of environmental health, occupational hygiene, and public health microbiology. She received an award for her M.Sc. project by the TNSCST. She has presented her work at prominent national platforms, and been selected to present in ISIAQ Conference in Switzerland. Her research in public health is published in reputed journals such as BMJ Open, Environmental Research, Annals of Tropical Medicine & Public Health, Indian Journal of Environmental Protection, and Indian Journal of Public Health Research and Development. Her interdisciplinary expertise bridges microbiology, environmental science, and occupational health, with a focus on advancing public health through academic excellence and applied research.
